====== RESEARCH INTERESTS ====== My research lines deal with very different fields of knowledge. My main research interest is oriented towards **teaching English as a Foreign Language** with regards to cognitive processes, critical review of teaching methodologies in L2 (for instance, the DEC-PRO model of activity sequencing, the Processability Theory or the Task-Based Approach, among many others). Furthermore, these interests are materialised by means of theoretical and empirical studies which test, reject or analyse varied TEFL theories. My secondary research line is centred upon Historical Linguistics and Manuscript Studies. ==== Editorial Boards (Journals)==== * //Editor-in-Chief// **Journal of Language Testing & Assessment** (ISSN 2616-2938) * //Editor-in-Chief// **Curriculum and Teaching Methodology** (ISSN 2616-2261) * //Editorial Board Member// **"International Journal of Language and Linguistics (IJLL)"** (ISSN: 2330-0205) * //Editorial Board Member// "Arts & Linguistics" y "Education" in **"International Journal of Research Publications"** (ISSN pending) * //Editorial Board Member// **SCIREA Journal of Education** (ISSN pending) Pertenezco a la American Association for Science and Technology. * ORCID researcher corde: http://orcid.org/0000-0002-1789-9046 * Google Scholar Profile (Google Académico): https://scholar.google.es/citations?user=Rg0U18kAAAAJ&hl=es\\ * Academia.edu Profile: Aitor Garcés-Manzanera\\ ===== Bachelor's Theses Supervision===== * BA in EARLY YEARS EDUCATION (Major: English Language Teaching). **Lines of research offered to undergraduate students**: //My office hours for supervisions: Orientación TFG Lengua Inglesa - Grado en Educación Infantil// * BA in PRIMARY EDUCATION. Major in TEFL. //Line of research//: **Testing and researching the Processability Theory (PT): paving the way** //Description//: This line of inquiry aims to explore either theoretically or empirically the array of possibilities offered by the Processability Theory (PT) developed by Pienemann (1998). Studies might include (i) the analysis of the PT hierarchy in contrast to other language learning theories, (ii) critical analysis of ELT materials where traces of PT may be found or paralleled, (iii) empirical analysis of students’ performances based upon the PT in order to validate such theory on a reduced scale, and (iv) reviews of the relevant literature on the issue.
