Biography
I received a Bs degree in Computer Science from the University of Murcia in 2009 and a Ms degree in Computer Science and Aplied Mathematics for Science and Engineer from the same university in 2010.
I obtained an International PhD degree in Computer Science in 2015 at the University of Murcia, which was possible thanks to a Phd scholarship from the Seneca Foundation.
Since 2018 I am an associated lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Systems at the University of Murcia and I joined the Platform of Biomedical Informatics and Bioinformatics of the Regional BioHealth Research Institute/Instituto Murciano de Investigación Biosanitaria (IMIB) as a research and development engineer in 2016.
I am a member of the spin-off LongSeq Applications founded in 2020.
Research interests
- Semantic Web Technologies applied to:
- Medical Informatics: Use of ontologies to manage archetypes and electronic health record in order to achieve semantic interoperability of clinical information. I have experience working with clinical models based on CEM, openEHR and ISO 13606 standards.
- Bioinformatics: Creation of tools and ontologies for the semantic integration of biomedical information.
