Dr. Pedro Soto Acosta

Education and Background

Pedro Soto-Acosta is a Full Professor (Catedrático) at the University of Murcia, holding a PhD in Business Economics (Extraordinary Doctoral Award recipient) and a Master's in Technology Management from the same university. He attended Postgraduate Courses in Management at Harvard University and earned a BA (Hons) in Business Administration & Management from the University of Murcia and a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance in Europe from Manchester Metropolitan University. He serves as Associate Editor, Senior Editor and Editorial Board Member for several mainstream journals including Electronic Markets, Journal of Knowledge Management, and Information Systems Management. Pedro has been visiting professor in several universities across Europe, Asia and America. He has published approximately 100 Impact Factor Papers and received awards for his research, such as the ABG Award to Research and Business Spirit, the Best Research Paper Award at Information Systems One World 2007 (ISoneWorld 2007), held in Las Vegas (USA), and the Best Conference Paper Award at BITMED 2009, held in Beijing (China). Since 2020, he has been consistently included in the annual list of the world's most influential researchers by Stanford University based on his annual research output and entire scientific career. In 2020, Pedro had the honor of being included in the list of the best 50 Region of Murcia Researchers according to the raking elaborated by the Spanish Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). His h-index and i-10 index amount to 55 and 107, respectively.
