Isidoro J. Casanova obtained his PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence: Foundations and Applications in Life Sciences and Engineering) in 2023. He also received from the University of Murcia (Murcia, Spain) his Master Degree in New Technologies in Computer Science (Specialim: Intelligent and knowledge technologies with applications in medicine) in 2017 and his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science in 2000.

He served as an adjunct professor in the department of Informatics and Systems (2005/2011) and in the department of Information and Communication Engineering (2015/2016) at the University of Murcia. He was also a member of Methodologies based on Data Mining for the design of Intelligent Hybrid Systems research group (2009-2011) (Ministry of Science and Innovation) of Spain. Since 2005 he has been working for the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

Currently, he is affiliated with the Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Engineering (AIKE) investigation group. His research interests include clinical decision support, specifically using multivariate sequential patterns for classification and extraction of temporal knowledge, as well as exploring artificial intelligence to assist investors in planning their investments.
