Background and Research interests:
Sheikh Parvez Mandal is a Doctoral Researcher (2023-) at the QuTeS group at the University of Murcia, Spain. He is carrying out his doctoral thesis in the ‘Condensed matter physics, Nanoscience and Biophysics’ PhD program under the supervision of Prof. Javier Prior Arce. He completed his master’s degree in physics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune (2022). His master’s thesis was titled ‘ Quantum search in a non-Markovian environment .’ He has authored 3 research articles; one published in the journal Physical Review A and the other two are being processed for publication. His main research interest is to study problems at the interface of quantum information theory, condensed matter physics and open quantum systems using exact numerical methods. He is currently focusing on accurately describing strong-coupling quantum stochastic thermodynamics and utilizing quantum advantages in the working of nanoscale and mesoscale devices.
