PhD student Jesús Moreno Meseguer

Personal Information:

  • Ph.D. student at the University of Murcia
  • Master in Quantum Technologies at UIMP

Background and Research interests:

I studied Physics in Murcia, where I was able to do internships in a few departments to feed my curiosity. Prior to my last year, I joined Javier’s group, where I started learning about Quantum Technologies and NV centers. I based my TFG on the building task of our Quantum Sensing laboratory, the first of its kind in that moment. Later on, I studied the Quantum Technologies master’s from UIMP, and based my TFM on fluorescent nano diamonds for intracellular sensing. I am currently doing my PhD on Quantum Sensing with NV centers. Through the last few years I’ve had the opportunity to visit Fedor Jelezko’s group many times, where I learned almost everything that I know by now. Outside work hours I’m usually doing sports or playing in my band.
