PhD student Ana Teresa Gea Caballero

Personal Information:

  • Ph.D. student at the University of Murcia
  • Master in Quantum Technologies at UIMP

Background and Research interests:

I am a physicist with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Murcia and a Master’s degree in Quantum Technologies from the International University Menéndez Pelayo, Spain.

During my undergraduate studies, I spent a year in Stuttgart, Germany, where I had the opportunity to gain international experience and participate in research activities at the Institute of Applied Optics and the Institute for Theoretical Physics III, where I worked with Rydberg Atoms as quantum simulators.

I am currently pursuing a PhD. My research focuses on the simulation of quantum many-body systems and the study of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond, a leading platform for quantum sensing and quantum information applications.

Beyond research, I actively participate in science outreach initiatives aimed at bringing physics closer to society and inspiring future generations of scientists. I enjoy communicating scientific ideas and sharing the excitement of discovery with diverse audiences.

I am passionate about science, continuous learning, and collaboration, and I am always interested in connecting with researchers and professionals working in quantum technologies, theoretical physics, and related fields.

And outside the lab, I am also a big dog enthusiast.
