MA in Applied Linguistics and TEFL from the University of York (MA), PhD (English Philology). I joined the Department of English Philology at UMU in 1992. I have lectured on English for Library and Information Science (undergraduate degrees) and Applications of Genre and Discourse Analysis (postgraduate level). My publication themes range from Applied Linguistics to Discourse and Genre Theories and their applications. My main research interests include Discourse Analysis (more specifically, Critical Discourse Analysis) and, within Applied Linguistics, EFL reading comprehension, ESAP pedagogy, and the role of the different literacies – academic, scientific, digital and information literacy- in language learning. Hybridation and multimodality are other issues of concern regarding Discourse. Here you will find information about my main teaching and research activities. If you miss some info you can contact me directly. Cheers! ====
