The Generic Payment Framework (GPF) Project
The aim of the Generic Payment Framework (GPF) project is the definition of a set of generic and reusable components that allow the definition of different payment frameworks. These frameworks will be designed to support the negotiation and the choice of the payment protocol to use. Furthermore, the purpose of this project is that payment frameworks support different payment protocols in an uniform way and that the components defined for a payment framework could be used in another framework. To achieve our goals we are defining a set of components and specifications:
- A generic wallet (2014-Not yet available). This API defines the different functions that a wallet that implements a payment protocol should provide.
- XML Payment Information Schema (XMLpayment) (2015). This schema defines the different elements that we could use to exchange payment information.
- A payment ontology (2011). This ontology defines the main concepts and relationships associated to the payment process by means of payment protocols
