I am Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics into the Faculty of Computer Science of the University of Murcia. I have been in several teaching positions in the University of Murcia since 1998.

Since 1996 until today I have been teaching in the Faculty of Mathematics first and afterwards in the Faculty of Computer Science. The subjects that I have been teaching are Discrete Mathematics, Algebra and Cryptology.

The beginning of my research is related with Ring Theory, Category Theory and Category Equivalences. Afterwards my research has been moving to Cryptology and Security. Nowadays my research is mainly focused on secure implementations of cryptographic algorithms. Most of my research since 2013 is not published, some of it can be found in patents and other is protected by confidentiality clauses.

After been 5th in the national competition, I was part of the spanish team for the International Mathematics Olimpiad that took place in West Germany in 1988.
